Portfolio

Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Brasilia, DF, Brazil. I was an R&D Manager at Rede Nacional de Pesquisas (RNPCTIC department at Brasilia, DF, Brazil (2017~2019). I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science (2019) from the Institute of Informatics of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, working within the Computer Networks Group. I stayed at CONNECT, the Telecommunication Research Group of Trinity College, Dublin, for an oversea scholarship of one year during my Ph.D. (2015). I received my M.Sc. degree (2013) from the Institute of Informatics of UFRGS, Brazil. Also, I hold a BSc degree (2010) in Computer Science from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI). Currently, I am researching Cloud Radio Access Networks, Wireless Networks, Next Generation Networks, Future Internet, Software Defined Network, Internet of Things, Software Defined Radio, and Cognitive Radio. My official CV of the Brazilian National Research Council (CNPq) platform is available at Curriculum Lattes.

Projects
  • PROFISSA – The PROFISSA project is proposed to investigate, map and advance the use of software engineering techniques when applied to programmable networks in order to improve the structural, functional quality and the process of developing network programs. The project will provide a framework of modular and reusable code for network programs developed with good development practices.
  • CCOpMv – CCOp Mvs will act in support of a Grand Operational Command (Army Division and / or superiors) in situations of war and non-war. The main concept is to offer support in systems, equipment, software and access to tactical, strategic and critical systems, which allow the establishment of Command and Control (C²) in the shortest time.
  • FUTEBOL – The overall objective of the FUTEBOL project is to develop and deploy research infrastructure, and an associated control framework for experimentation, in Europe and Brazil, that enables experimental research about the convergence point between optical and wireless networks.
  • CoLisEU – is a management application used to collect and analyze the Quality of Experience (QoE) of users in wireless networks. CoLisEU is maintained by the Computer Networks Group of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and will be provided as a service for managing wireless networks.
  • REMOA – Network-Citizen based on Internet of Things Concepts for Environment Monitoring (Rede-Cidadã de Monitoramento do Ambiente baseado em Conceitos da Internet das Coisas – in Portuguese)- This project proposes a set of tools that explores citizen participation in a smart city based on Internet of Things through the concept of Network Monitoring for Environment in which the citizen lives.
